sub 100 ar15 scope

hi happy shooting all....
i shoot at the range about 6 times a year. my wife and I have a young one so we are always busy doing something. but i built an ar15 for about 500 thanks to areo ptac and psa. Im looking for a scope for fun to shoot at 50 to maybe 100 yards. what numbers do i look for on the scope. thanks for your help. hope this thread is in the right place any links to old threads will be cool or if you can answer please do and thanks..

For further distaances, im looking at a nikon p-223 3-9x40. Around $140 on amazon.

for under 100 yards, id stick with irons or a red dot. i hear good things about primary arms.

That Nikon scope isn't a bad choice for the price. I don't know the OP's experience but I think 100 yds will get boring pretty fast, that Nikon zoom scope will let you stretch it out further after you're happy w/ 100 yds.
