    GG&G A2 BUIS

I recently free floated my 4H Stag upper and I wanted to invest in a good set of BUIS and was looking at the line from GG&G Tactical. From what I can see these sights look comparable to Troy sights baring some slight design differences and look equally as stout. I was considering Troy however they do not offer a front sight that you can mount on a railed gas block to be at the same height as the rear sight. GG&G does and I would like to stay with same manufacture on both. If anybody is running these sights please fill me in on quality and function.

I run GG&G BUIS on all my AR-15s and on AR-10.
I used to have Troy, LaRue, ARMS, KAC, etc. but have switched permanently now to GG&G, I just think they're better and more durable. LaRue would be my 2nd choice followed by KAC.

I'll second the GG&G, I used a KAC first, Got a good deal from a fellow CGunner on the GG&G and haven't looked back since. Very good BUIS's. You won't be disappointed.

GG&G makes 3 different BUIS' - standard, springloaded, and MAD.

If you're comparing to the Troy, you'll want to verify the height, which they don't specify on their site, and is critical if you'll be mounting it under magnified optics.

The Troy's low height is one of their strong points, at 0.46" folded. GG&G calls all their "low profile", but the only one I have a height for is the MAD, which is 0.625" tall, and won't fit under some scope/mount combos.

Thanks for the info gentleman! I thought I was barking up the right tree. I will see if I can find out the folding height on the GG&G rear so I dont run into a clearance issue with the scope. I currently have a Troy rear sight in place and the scope clears but not by much.

I use GG&G "non-springloaded" rear, and I loved it cuz it is solid and I can put my Trijicon rear nightsight there. I looked at many different ones, not too many(if any!!) can use the Trijicon nightsight rear.
