    Primary Arms Optics Quality

I'll start off by saying that I am not planning on operating in Afghanistan, so being able to withstand a direct shot from a SMAW is not something I'm concerned about. As of recently, I have relinquished all of my nice optics (ACOG and two Aimpoints) in order to build my safe's contents and finish a couple ARs for my upcoming long shooting trip in a couple of months. I am now left with the dilemma of what do I want to do as far as optics for my next three ARs. I have very minimal to no experience with Primary Arms, but have heard nothing, but great things about them (products and service).

My friend has been running one of their micro dots for about a year and swears by it. Based on his recommendation, I recently I purchased a PA micro dot with an ADM mount and I haven't shot with it yet, but am definitely impressed with what I got considering how little I spent on it.

My thoughts are for my next two optics I will buy the same micro dot also with the ADM mount as well as a 3x LER magnifier with the ADM swivel mount. For another rifle I have, I want to purchase their 4x ACSS compact scope with an ADM mount. Does anybody have experience and/or comments on either one of these setups?

I'm really optimistic that they'll be perfect for me and am looking forward to testing and evaluating both items. If they prove to work well for me, I wouldn't really have a reason to look at anything else in this category. I've dealt with PA for other orders of rifle parts and have almost made them my exclusive, go-to vendor.

    Thanks in advance!

Just got the Advanced Series Red Dot and I am impressed. Haven't shot it yet but it is dead on with my hard sights(Post and MBUS)! Sturdy design, well done all around!

Glad to hear! I was looking at that RDS as well, but the one thing that held me back was the integrated mount. I really wish I could have the option of using an ADM mount.

If Dimitri, or Marsh were to chime in, I'd be curious to know if there are any plans for a micro red dot that affords longer battery life... not that 1000 hours is all that bad. It puts it in the same range as Eotech.

      Got pictures of your RDS?

They will have one soon. It's called the holosun. 50,000 hours of battery life and auto on/off. They actually already sold a batch but it came with proprietary mounts and wasn't PA branded. PA said the next batch wiil take T1 mounts.
Shop Holosun red dot sights with Solar Failsafe, Shake Awake, and Multi-Reticle System. Premium pistol and rifle optics featuring 50k+ hour battery life, titanium construction, and innovative technology. Free shipping available.

I'm all over that if they brand it PA and make it accept T1 mounts.

Any idea on an ETA for that? I almost want to hold off on ordering another until it comes out.

PA is the best hands down! They go above and beyond to help you out personally if there is any problem with your order/product.

Their customer service is well known and I'd never second guess it. Just curious as to the overall durability of their products. It's nice having a company that stands behind the products.

They are great, and the fact that they post here and WILL solve any issue you might have is great.

They're fine for plinking and range time... If anyone tells you otherwise, they're
                        Wrong.

Enjoy! I think their chicom stuff is quite
                        Good.

Anyone confident enough to use them on a SHTF/WROL rifle?

Hell no. My life is worth the extra $300 for the real thing.

According to Dmitri, the first batch had a couple that failed their QC tests so they sent the whole batch back. They take their QC seriously. Means a longer wait time, though. I'm totally OK with that.
