Help - Need a Holo.

Hey folks,

I've been looking around for a good quality holosight that is affordable, as in, in the $200 range?. It's for a M1 Carbine, don't know much about optics, But id like to give holos a shot, no pun intended. Was hoping some of you could point me in the right direction?

I have installed an amega m1 carbine scope mount and removed the stock wooden handguard.Now all i really need is a good holo, im only looking to shoot a little past 100 yards fairly accurately. The stock sights do alright, but i'd like to update this new/old 9mm carbine. Thanks.,

An old Bushnell (Made by Eotech) is ~$200.
I have both. The Eotech is brighter.

The bushnells also have horrible battery life. 60 hours compared to 600 hours on an EOTech. If you want a red dot, I would avoid holo sights and go for something like a mini red dot. Vortex makes some solid ones for the price and will give much better battery performance. Also don't believe the garbage that Aimpoint and EOTech put out about being parallax free. All sights will have a set distance they are parallax free and it will become worse the farther away from that distance you get.

You aren't going to find a true holographic sight for $200. If you're ok with a simple red dot, there are lots of options.
