Want to put glass on my 10/22 takedown.
What is the difference between these 2 scopes? (I don't see anything different in their specs)
vs.
They both are 2-7 power with 32mm objective, both have the 150BDC reticle, etc. Price is about the same, so is there any difference between them?
Also, is 2-7 enough magnification for .22, or should I look at the ProStaff rimfire that is 3-9 x 40mm? (which is also cheaper... why?)
Now, onto rings... Looking at these 2:
vs.
Ideally I'd like whatever combination I choose to allow the scoped receiver portion of the rifle to still fit in its carry bag without having to remove the scope (although the Warne rings are quick detach and reviews say there is usually no need to rezero after remounting the scope... )
Also, the Nikon rings look like there is empty space above where the rail would sit that might allow you to still use your irons with the scope mounted... ???
Reviews on the Nikon rings indicate possible quality issues with rail fitment. Reviews on the Warne rings are stellar. Everybody pretty much says, "Awesome rings!"
Appreciate all opinions and input. Thanks.
