    Civilian Legal IR PEQ 15??

Does anyone know of where a civilian can buy an IR ATPIAL PEQ 15? I know of the LDI DBAL but i prefer the PEQ. I see guys on forums, instagram, etc. with them constantly. I know theyre occasionally on ebay for $3k but im not down for that. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

O.K. looks like I was a bit quick on trigger finger posting the Optics Planet link. One or more of these companies is selling to civilians though as I saw two for sale on ebay with no restrictions albeit at a substantial markup.

        link below:

All I have to say is goodluck. If you want one, you're going to have to fork over the at least 3k from Ebay. Retailer will not sell them unless you are DoD or LEO. You might be lucky and find a good price on one.

And you don't suspect that these are "surplus" from someone with legitimate access "disposing" of them on ebay?

            Seems fishy to me.

It might be one of those "ask me no questions and i'll tell you no lies" type purchases.

Like others have posted it depends on how bad the op wants one legitimate or otherwise.

Although they are not illegal to own or sell (AFAIK) the companies (LD, L3, ect) will not sell them except directly to LE/Mil.

Most of the ones you see on fleabay are stolen military supplies and can get you in some trouble (long shot but possible)

There are however some grey market units that LE agencies have sold off or are selling off that are perfectly legal but vary rare.

LE, except those in the military, are civilians. OP will have to tell us if he is LE or not.

In this case though individual LE officers can't purchase either. It has to be a direct AGENCY purchase.

Like, for example, Tracy PD buying them, not Bob Smith, a Tracy PD officer

Basically you are either going to pay out of your arse or you are going to probably going to get stolen property.

Well... if you really want it badly, you could train yourself to be a high-speed analyst, get really in shape at the gym, somehow become hired onto JSOC as a civilian contractor with little to no references and then get it through the command! yayyyy

                        Or pay eBay

Oh yeah don't forget the PT belt - I wear it as a sash because they gave me the army fatboy one that's like 46" around
