Trijicon RMR losing zero under recoil

    Pistol: Glock 17
    Optics: RMR 05
Mount: milled slide, set screws into slide
Problem: After 50-100 rounds my gun will "unzero" itself. Traced the problem to the side windage adjustment screw. My only idea is moving from vibration and constant recoil.

The adjustment "clicks" don't feel as solid as some other optics I have (more of a mushy click). Does anyone have an idea to keep this windage from moving on me? I could superglue it shut, but when I switch loads I will be SOL. Can it be removed and applied with loctite?
    Thanks in advance

Doesn't Trijicon have a decent warranty? On a side note, are you sure it's a real RMR unlike this one: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=958681

I have an RMR(forgot which model) on my G19, which one source tactical put on for me. Had it on there for the past 3 years(still on same battery, yes the dot is dimmer then 3 years ago but still bright enough to use and I do have a few batteries ready when it's completely out ) and approximately 2k rounds with it on the pistol. It holds zero just fine. I also have another one(fiber optic) that was on my AR pistol and now on my SCAR 16s, it holds zero just fine and have it for 3 years also. Wasn't sure if I really wanted FO or battery powered so I bought both at the same time.

Your problem is the optic. Send it back to trijicon. They are pretty good about repairs

I have a G23 and a G35 with RMRs installed by One Source Tactical. Mine would lose zero about halfway through any pistol class I would take. I called OST and they stated that their technique is to set zero, then use the "clear fingernail polish trick" on the adjustment dial to maintain the setting. It worked! RMRs are known for losing zero after high round counts.

Also, don't forget to use lock-tite on your mounting screws, as those will always work loose.

This is one of the well documented problems with the earlier RMR's.

Send it back in for the upgrades.

The newer production RMR's (Q code on side, not the sticker on top) have the beefed up electronics and turrets. I've got a new production RMR06 with about 2500rnds through it and zero has not drifted.

Daphoze- I am positive on its authenticity. Thanks for the heads up on the knockoffs though.
Desertdog- after posting this, I did a little searching and found other RMR owners with the same problem. They collaborated your suggestion with the nail polish.

Went to the range today after applying my custom tactical nail polish, and all is well. 300rnds down the tube and still holding dead zero. I still might send it in to trijicon, but for the time being it works fine.
Thanks again guys for all suggestions.
