Mueller 1-4 or something comparable

Looking at the Mueller 1-4 speed shot for up close shots as well as targets out to 300 yards. Is there another scope I should be considering for the price? $229

I just got a Vortex Crossfire II from Optics Planet for less than $200 shipped. LOVE IT!!!!!!

I have the Mueller speedshot and I love it. I owned the PA, Leatherwood and Burris previously and none of them were as bright as the Mueller.

If you intend to shoot outdoors in the sunlight, the mueller is your best best.

Love to combination of red dot with the benefits of 4x magnification.

While the Vortex Crossfire is a good scope, the 1\2 moa center dot is VERY small.

Here is a review of the Vortex where he states that is daylight, the center dot, even on it's highest settings, is not that bright.
