    Holdover question

The .22 rifle is zeroed at 25 yard, it has a scope that has hash marks spaced at 5 moa. Now say I want to use the hash marks for holdover instead of adjusting the dials. If a bullet drops 45" at 200 yards, which mark will be my aim point?
Does the 5moa spaced hash marks mean 10" at 200 yards, which would mean my aim point should be at over the 4th mark?

That's correct. Approximately. But using reticle holdover is always somewhat approximate.

1 MOA is roughly 1" per 100 yards. At 200 yards, each MOA is 2". Therefore, 45" of drop at 200 yards means you need a 22.5 MOA comeup.

Since your "clicks" are 5 MOA apart, you need 4 and a half of them to get that comeup.

You'll find the actual comeups for .22LR at that range are highly ammunition dependent. In my experience 22.5 MOA is possible but on the low side. After zeroing at 25 meters, I need almost 30 MOA of comeup at 200 meters, using CCI Standard Velocity through a 19" barrel... and if you're not shooting SV or Subsonic ammo, you probably won't group well enough to care.
