My EOTechs are all crystal clear. They also just totally rebuilt an old 512 I have for 75 bucks. Great optics IMO...

I've owned or used RDS from both ends of the spectrum. You definitely get what you pay for. Even though the Primary Arms/Bushnells/Vortex sights work fine and are an excellent value. I think everyone should own at least 1 quality RDS. Aimpoint, Eotech, Trigicon, etc... I have an aimpoint on my go to rifle. Excellent battery life, build quality, and crystal clear.

Just stay clear of the knock off sights. Those are horrible.

To sort of wrap it all up in a sense, you will probably be pretty happy with something like a Vortex Sparc or other similar lower prices red dot. However, if you get a chance, hit the range and see if you can look through several different optics of varying quality/price.

I like my Sparc, it does the trick, it holds zero, and is pretty tough, but my Trijicon ACOG 1.5, and SRS are monumentally better optics, almost no comparison, but your budget will ultimately have to be the deciding factor.
