Look at the Leapers UTG. Cheap, but damn if they aren't good quality. Check out the reviews on Optics Planet. I got a 3-9 bug buster for about $100 with the caps and quick detach mount. I figured it was a POS but it wasn't. It holds zero really well on my Colt 6920. I haven't really tested the tracking, but everything else on it rocks. They have other models with a 40mm objective too.

I have a redfield revolution and a couple of the prostaffs. I don't think you could go wrong with either of those two, based on my experience with them.

You might need a bit more power then 9x. The 17HMR can actually reach out quite a ways. I would have to recommend the Vortex as I have one on my CZ and it is amazing for the price.

+1 on the vortex. Very good glass and you will not regret it.

Give some thought to the Weaver V-10 2-10X38. Fully multicoated lenses and rugged construction for a great price.

I went ahead ordered a diamondback . I do own Viper PST and their warranty is just top notch and Im planning to spray paint diamondback once i get it .

if something does happen to the scope , Im sure vortex wont mind that it was spray painted . im afraid other company might give me $%^&
