Please post articles and videos about setting up a Battle Sight Zero. I was more biased to a 50 yard/ 200 meter Battle Sight Zero, but now looking at 100 yard Battle Sight Zero.

Zen of the 100 Meter Zero
The topic of zeroing comes up quite frequently, and to ease explaination I wrote the following to more easily illustrate my preference and the reasons why. You might want to take a look at Molon’s thread about zeroing: AR-15 Zeros and Trajectories to get better acquainted with the nuances in the path of trajectory. Be advised, how something looks in pure data form is much different than real life application. Recently, Larry Vickers put his thoughts on it in his “ask the SME” section here at...
AR-15 Zeros and Trajectories
AR-15 Zeros and Trajectories The 100 yard zero with a .223/5.56mm AR-15 carbine is a unique trajectory in that the bullet just “kisses” the line of sight at 100 yards and rides along it for approximately 10 yards before dropping back down below the line of sight. (Technically, the bullet does travel above the line of sight, but by only 0.010”; a fraction of the diameter of the bullet itself.) For all other zeroing schemes, there are going to be two points were the bullet crosses the line of...

So far I like this a lot. I looked up the data for the rounds I have, but I'll have to compare the results with another calculator.

I was considering getting a SiteLite bore sight to help zero my AR, but at this point I'm pleased to hold off. I just completed a rough zero inside my residence by lining up the barrel to the bulls eye, looking through the bore, and adjusting the optic.
Although the distance I have to work with is less than 15 yards, I was able to zero windage fairly well, and according to the ballistics calculations, I should be reasonably close on the elevation.
I thought it would be a lot harder to line up the barrel to the target and look through the bore, but it's not difficult with a few boxes of various sizes and the right lighting. There isn't a need to have a vice, lead sled or other clamping device for your upper as the upper will stay put when resting on a flat surface. You want to sit on the sideline and watch or do you want to play ball? - Tom Buchanan
