    Good long eye relief scope

What's a good long eye relief scope? I want it to be not too expensive, yet hold zero and perform ok. Also it needs to fit 1" rings.

What's too expensive and what do you consider good eye relief? What kind of gun? What kinds of distances will you be shooting?

The first thing that comes to mind with what little info you've provided is Leupold Mark AR 3-9x40 mil dot. Something comparable would be Nikon's M223 series. But again, to gain more useful feedback, you'll need to provide some more specifics.

      Long eye relief scope?
Are you looking for a scope that sits in front of the receiver of an M1 or M1A? (Hint: Look for Scout Scopes)

There is a difference in extended/long eye relief and intermediate eye relief. If you want it on a scout style rifle. Youll want the eye relief around 9-12inches. On a handgun they make scopes with much longer reliefs.. closer to 20"

Look at the hi-lux/leatherwood LER scope or some of leupolds offerings. Bothe are good scopes. The loopy has better glass, but the leatherwood is satisfactory, especially at the low price of $100 or so.

I got the Wever 4x28. I have not fired it, but I was burned when the cheaper 3-9 scope failed and was losing zero. I figure the fixed zoom will withstand the recoil of the mosin more.

How much eye relief you need?
Shotgun/muzzle loader scopes average around 5" eye relief
