I'm looking at one of the Millett LRS scopes. Anyone have any opinions on them? I'm on a budget right now. I'm building my next long range rifle and looking for optics.

I've owned the Millet TRS-1 in the past... never tried the LRS but I cant imagine it being much different. It served its purpose as a starter optic but it would be hard to recommend it. Expect to upgrade it sooner than later.
Here is a TRS review and his experiences were pretty much on par with what I came across.
I agree with the SWFA fixed power scope recommendation. I also have their 10x non HD and its one of my favorite "budget" optics. To be honest it doesn't feel or perform like a budget optic, it will far exceed your expectations of the $300 scope in the tracking, optics, and build quality areas.
If you really need a variable power scope, I would look to more of an entry level Vortex like the HS series. If you shop for deals, the PST line can be had for a substantial discount.ExtremeXComment

Thanks for the response. I'm looking at the Vortex Viper 6 X 24 FTP and Sightron S3 8 x 32-56 also. The Sightron has 70 moa of elevation adjustment. I haven't decided on caliber yet. Either 260 Remington improved or 6 Dasher.Comment
