Using a Magnifier on a Saiga Ak Sporter

    Hey guys,

Iw as wondering if anyone had any experience using magnifiers on an Ak. Im worried that 2" of eye relief wouldnt be enough on something like a standard AK mount like this Kvar

    http://www.k-var.com/shop/KV-04S.html.

Does anyone here have any experience running an AK with a Magnifier?Maybe Im worrying too much before purchasing. Im looking at some mid to lower end ones like the Primary Arms stuff.

You'd get more rail space as well as lower sight location using a Texas Weapons System top cover setup. Also available from Primary Arms.

mounting anything to the top cover is a bad idea.

I guess those factory Krinkov's must suck then, having their rear sight attached to the top cover and all.

and the sight is HINGED/attached to the trunion. do you really think youre going to hit a target at 500 meters using an 8 inch barrel?

Texas Weapons System uses a hinge to the trunion as well.
Let me leave this here for you. But it's only a 9mm and a 5"or 6" barrel, and 400 meters.
