    ACOG color

Can somebody tell my why I should get a ACOG with a amber reticle instead of the red?

I don't know if this is true with all Trijicon scopes but.... The amber reticle doesn't bloom or plumed as much as the red.

You can cover up the FO and it won't be a problem.

I had an amber and a red reticle I sold the red because I liked the amber better.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

      Personal preference

I was reading that some people are better able to see red than others. Has to do with the microscopic rods in your eyes that pick up color. Apparently some people cant see red so good. Try them out and see which color fels best to you in various conditions. For me, I think the amber is brighter but also more easily blends into Brown/tan environments. the red offers more contrast to brown/desert colors but is not as bright at night or dark conditions.

Colorblindness affects the ability to see reds and greens (and they vary between the degrees too), so, the yellow is a good alternative.
