As the title says, I got these rings http://www.walmart.com/ip/Weaver-1-Q...-Ring/16879802 and apparently was wrong to assume any crappy scope could fit. Can anyone help me figure out a cheap scope to put on my Ruger 10/22 carbine that will fit in those rings?

Picked up rings, screwed up on scope

1. What exactly about the scope did you "screw up on" that didn't fit with those rings?
2. Any 1" diameter tube scope should fit those rings(not taking ring height into consideration for the other dimensions of the scope).
3. Considering you're talking about a $10 set of rings, maybe you should pick a scope first and then find appropriate rings afterwards?
4. I'm almost afraid to ask since you seem to be wanting to prioritize a $10 set of rings, but how "cheap" are you talking about? -
1. I'm pretty new to guns, so I just assumed you could tighten the rings to fit any scope. I bought http://www.walmart.com/ip/Bushnell-4...Scope/16767721 because it said 1 in, but either something is really wrong or they are wrong. Seems to be about 3/4 in.
2. I thought I was buying one and now I'm scared to think for myself haha =/
3. I'm sort of a noob, and since it's a Ruger 10/22 and a hand me down at that, I didn't feel like spending a bunch of money. But I could do that.
4. I would prefer to keep it under $50. Money isn't an issue, but I have better guns (Savage Axis 308, Daniel Defense M4) that I would use for long distance shooting. This was more of a "eh I feel like putting a crappy scope on my noob gun" thing.WTS HK USP45c http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1304283Comment

Ok, I see what happened.
Looking at the URL for that scope it says bushnell, yet the scope is a tasco. Something is wrong there. Checking the opticsplanet website that walmart.com mentions(since opticsplanet also sells through walmart.com's marketplace?) it's listed as a 3/4" diameter scope http://www.opticsplanet.com/tasco-4x15-rimfire.html
It seems the lesson learned today, is not to rely on walmart for even the most basic of information. I'm not going to try and convince you to buy a better scope, however I will say that you should try to find a better retailer(not that you could have known that walmart.com was full of crap in the first place without doing additional checking that you shouldn't need to do).Comment
