vortex vmx-3 flip to left or right side?

I just picked up s vmx-3 magnifier with flip to side mount but wonder which side i should have it flip to the right or left? Can anyone give me to pro n cons of each side.

You right of left handed? Right or left eye dominant? What weapon? Which side does the weapon eject brass from? What purpose for the rifle? Too many variables without more information.

If it is a standard, plain-Jane AR15 setup, with a right-handed, right eye-dominant shooter, flip to the right, so that you don't clutter up your field of view with your left eye. Better to lose a little peripheral vision on the right than to lose your forward vision out of the left eye...

Or you could just buy a 1-6 FFP optic...

I've got mine going the opposite direction - flip to left - because I'm left handed and extremely left eye dominant. That's the only time you should do flip to left, though.
