    Mueller APT on a Mosin

I need some advice on my scope options.

I currently have a Mueller APT 4.5-14 x 40 on my Ruger 10/22. It's a beefy scope for for a small rifle. I am currently in the process of sporterizing a Mosin Nagant. I'm trying to keep the Mosin project as economic as possible.

    My question is (2 part)
1 - How would the Mueller APT hold up on my Mosin project?
2 - Or should I look into a different scope option for my Mosin project?

    Thanks for your advice!

OP: so you have this scope: http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Muel...p/mt451440.htm

Most of the scope mounts available for the Mosin Nagant require you to have a bent bolt knob to clear the optic. You need to permanently modify the bolt. Or, you need to track down a sniper bolt, which is bent to allow use of an optic, and hangs over the bolt, in the standard position. You'll be able to use your Mueller APT. But, otherwise, you could get a "scout" optic mount, which replaces the rear sight and requires usage of a long eye relief scope (such as a "scout" scope -- or...a pistol scope, if you're trying to save money). Hope that helps. --1911ShooterPhil

Yup. That is the scope I have.

I plan on modifying the bolt to allow for a scope mount.

      Thanks!
