    Tasco 10-40x50E-SF help

Hello all, I need help on figuring this scope out. I bought a rifle and this scope was on it. The guy I bought it from said the scope was a swfa ss but on the scope it says Tasco and on the side it says 10-40x50E-SF.

I tried looking this up but there was no 10-40x50E-SF. I only came across a tasco 10-40x50. Is this a generic version? Is this scope any good? Does anyone have any experience with these scopes?

It says TASCO... that was a pretty good clue.

I sincerely hope the price you paid this guy was not based on the rifle having an SWFA scope. There are a few tiers of quality, and hundreds of dollars between Tasco and SWFA.

I'd say dude pulled a fast one on you, and this is research that should have been done before giving him your hard-earned rather than after.

Sorry, but if the item was priced relative to having a quality optic on it, you got burned.

The scope was probably additional, but I think I could have dropped the price because of the scope.

I still feel I got a fair deal on it. Just not as great as I thought I did.

A Tasco scope adds no value to the price of a gun. That said, I have one on a .22 rifle. For that caliber, and up to 100yds, I'm happy with it. But it certainly is no SWFA.

That's the most important thing... What's the rifle?

They are called a Trashco for a reason.
            Best to replace it

Check on the scope to see where it was made. If it says Japan, it is good quality.

I can't seem to find where it's made. I've looked all around. Where is it suppose to be located? It's on a rem 700 308

Typically on the bottom, directly beneath the knobs
