well it came in yesterday, mounted it on my Colt, cant wait to zero it in.. They definitely fixed the cap issue,real easy to close now.

Yes it's about .5" shorter now, and yes it came with the cantilever mount for ar.

add some oil on the rim of the cap. my strikefire lens cap was difficult to close but the oil solved the problem.

for what it's worth, the old ones look like they are being liquidated for under $100 at most places now.

thinking of getting the sparc 2 myself. no more power button on the side, kept nv and all other random function, switched to a more common battery, and now includes lens caps. unit did become slightly heavier and if i remember right, longer too. retail price seems to be slightly above the old one at $200 (seems like the old one usually went for $180-190).
