    EOtech 512 Re-Furbished?

Has anyone sent off an EOtech back to L3 for it to get refurbished? I bought a 512 model awhile back and while it worked great indoors, in sunlight the reticle was not visible. I bought the thing for $XXX, and after contacting EOtech support, they quoted me $XX including all parts, repairs, and shipping to get it back to like new conditions. Just wanted to know if anyone has gone through this process and how the device functioned after. Thanks!

I should mention my 512 was made in 2005!

I bought my 512 in 2006 and just had it refurbished last year. It was about 75 bucks, and came back working like new. I was having a similar issue with the reticle. Definitely worth it.

Great. It's sitting on top of my SGL-21 now, and it's like new.

Very nice. I just got a confirmation they received the item. How was the turn around?

Not sure if you care to know but figured I would mention it, generally with Eotech, when you can't see the reticle in bright sun, it's because the gas was purged from the Eotech housing... they have to build a new seal and charge it again.
