Help me choose please: Leupold or Bushnell?

    I am between a

Leupold Mark 4 8.5-25x50mm LR/T M1 Illuminated Reticle Long Range Tactical Rifle Scope

    VS.

    Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30x50mm Riflescope 654305M

Im putting it on my new TRG22 in .308. I will probably take it out to 100-300 yards regularly and 500-1000 yards occasionally.
I know many of you are expirienced in this so I'd like to ask you all what do you think I should do?

IMHO, buy the Leupold, you won't be sorry.

I'd buy a 3.5-15x Nightforce NXS before the Leupold. You don't need a lot of that top end magnification. Mirage will kill it. Last sunday at the Sac Valley 1k match, I had my scope at 12-15x the whole day. Even though I had 25x on tap, I never used it. Even when shooting MOA targets at 1000, 15x is more than enough. The Nightforce is far more reliable and better made than the loopy. You can also get an MOA reticle to match the knobs with the NF. Or mil knobs to match the mil reticle. Its flat out a much better scope if/when you really begin to use it practically.

The 3.5-15x50 is my favorite scope in the lineup. "Best all around" is what I call it.

Leupold will do the job the Nightforce to me are the best bang for the buck. Like rksimple said the anything from 20x and up the mirage will kill you on a hot day.

The Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50mm are great!

If the NXS is a more than you would like to spend here is a Leupold I love! Custom Shop Mark 4 4.5-14x40mm LR/T M1 TMR
