Diamondhead BUIS Elevation Issue

I recently picked up a Stag 3T-M and took it to the range today for the first time. My model came with Diamondhead flip up fr/rr sights. The barrel is 1/9 and was shooting 55 gr ammo. At 25 yards my shots would be about 10 in too high from what I was aiming at. I tried adjusting the elevation on my front sight. I believe the post moves up when rotating it clockwise, but I'm not totally sure. I also don't know how much it rises per turn of the post. I turned it 4 full turns clockwise. I would then say at 25 yards, it was maybe 8 in too high.

I moved to the 50 yard range for a short time. Didn't have a spotting scope with me so I don't know how high the shots were impacting.

Do I just keep turning the front sight post until it is zeroed in? And I don't know if I was adjusting the elevation correctly, so I didn't want to keep turning the front sight post.

If you'e hitting high, you want to move the front sight up. Which means you should turn the front post counter clockwise.

If you are co-witnessing with a red dot and your red dot is already zeroed, then you want the dot to sit right on top of the front sight post.

Ok, I did notice the post going up turning counterclockwise. I need to go back to the range to zero it. Thanks.
