    Nikon Buckmaster BDC

Have you used the spot on program? How much work have you done with it? What do you think?

I bought this same scope because it was on sale a while back even though I didn't have a gun without a scope. I was going to get a new deer rifle soon to mount it on so I'm also curious to hear what others experiences are with the spot on program. This is one of the main reasons I purchased it as well because I've always been a fan of bdc scopes. I've looked through it side by side with my leupold vx2 and the glass quality is just as good as the more expensive vx2. Looking forward to hearing some reviews.

Nikon's Spot On software is extremely easy to use and works perfectly. I've been lucky enough to use this software on a variety of scopes and platforms; 22lr, 223, 308, 300 win, 338 lapua, 50BMG, and more. Everything from their rimfire scopes to the higher mag monarchs. Every time ived used it, it has worked flawlessly.
One of the best examples I tell people when discussing it is a time when a prostaff 5 was mounted on a ICON 300 win. I didnt mount the scope, didnt sight it in. I just was told its zero and given the Spot On readout to look at. At 500 yards was a steel shaped in a full size white tail. I was calling out and hitting every shot using the BDC reticle with that info. left antler, right antler, 3rd tine, nose, etc. Its a great system to use and is so user friendly. I absolutely love using it.

Thanks for the review Trevor. I'm definitely looking forward to trying mine out once I find something to mount it on!

I had the Buckmaster 6-18 BDC on my R700 .308 Using the Spot-On app I was able to hit plates at my range from 200yds to 600yds. With only one miss at 500yds due to shooter error and after taking only 3 rounds to sight in at 50yds, it was the best 10rnds of .308 I've ever shot.

The app is easy to use and it even prints out small sheets so that you can tape it on to your stock for handy reference.
