Need better scope for Savage 10 TH 223

This scope has a Nikon BDC. I want a better scope for mostly target practice, possibly coyote. Price range, close to $300.00. Target shooting up to 300+ yds. Mildot or similar. Adjustable parallax. Resetable turrets.

    Recommendations?

I'm guessing you never got that parallax issue resolved with Nikon?

Would you consider a fixed powder scope like a 6x or 10x? If you are looking for fixed power, take a look at the SWFA scopes which are right at 300...

Or are you set on a variable magnification scope? If so, what magnification range are you looking for?

I wanted to go with SWFA fixed 10x42 , but they told me its on back order .and no ETA . so I got PA 4x14x44 FFP instead for 229 . i think OP should consider PA as well

I sent the scope in. They got it yesterday. So, I haven't heard yet. I'm still interested in different scopes.

Have you used this before? is the glass as good as a Leupold? The price is very attractive. Don't know to much about Mueller scopes

                Thoughts anyone?

I've checked out some of the Sightmark scopes, found their glass to be very clear. They are in your price range.

I have a Mueller 4-16 Mildot. Clarity is much better than say a Simmons, BSA, and other cheaper brands. I prefer my Bushnells however. One thing about a scope is to do research. Its easy to jump on a low price, but research the warranty and Customer service. Lots of Guys like to have a scope Camo dipped. Better do your homework first. Mueller will not warranty a dipped scope. Buy once cry once comes to mind. Good luck

Got my scope back from Nikon. Repair said clean lens element, ckd windage, ckd elevation, adj collimation, sup nitrogen, passed recoil test.

I'm not sure if collimation has any effect on parallax. But service was quick. I'll have to check it out.
