    Barska spotting scope?

I'm in need of a spotting scope for use at the range, but being on a tight budget does not give me many options. Obviously for the price I'm not expecting greatness but it does fit into my budget.

Does anyone have any experience with this scope? Lets hear it the good, the bad, the ulgy.

I have one. It's a good scope for the money. But beware, if you are wearing glasses (and you have to at the range) it has no eye relieve.
So, it's kind of hard to see.
Otherwice as I said it is a good scope.

It pretty much works fine. It's a doorstop compared to some $800+ pro-grade optic, but I just got one because I don't have any real expensive rifles and don't compete in bullseye rifle at all. I raise my safety glasses to look thru it..As I do with binocs.

I just bought one. Seems well made and comes with nice hard and soft cases. Read the reviews at Midway here:

I have it and like it. If there is one compliant I have, it is the diameter of the eye piece, they are small, and when scoping for any amount of time, your eyes will become fatigued. However, unless you are going to put out big money for a leupold, swavorski, or leica, you are going to run into the pretty much the same issue. The upper end scopes not only use better glass, cutting, and prisims, they also provide a large diameter eye piece which is far more comfortable, over long periods of scope work.

I have one too. I bought it at big 5 for $89 a year ago and It's been a good investment. Comes with Soft case hard case and tripod. I use the soft case for the scope and the hard case for cleaning supplies that I bring to the range. Tripod is OK, I ues a camera tripod too.

i have a cheaper barska and.....you know what, its fine. it does the job. i'd love to have better optics but realistically it helps me to see the little holes on the target at longer distances and thats all i really needed.

                  Thanks everyone for the responses.

I was shooting at Richmond today and the guy next to me happened to be using this scope, so I got to check it out first hand. Its not perfect but for the price I thought it was great.

I'll be picking one up as soon as they go back on sale. It's Big 5 so that will probably be next week.

I have the Tasco one from Big5. I bought it on sale and works pretty well and has a larger objective lens (60mm if I'm not mistaken). If you're looking for a spotting scope on a budget, get the spotting scope with the largest objective lens you can afford (i.e. 80mm > 60mm > 55mm).
