Mosin Sporter Sniper Scope Advice

I am working on a Mosin sporter rifle project and would like to know if anyone has had any experience with a good brand and magnification scope they recommend for shooting 700 to 1000 yards? I am looking at short eye relief since I mounted the Jmeck scope mount kit for short eye scope shooting. I would guess I need something that has a fine hair in the middle to be able to see the target.
