Sadlak aluminum has gotten great reviews if mounted with Locktite. Runs about $150ish

to the guy who suggested replacing the rear sight...I want to be able to use both.

I've been told that the CASM mount includes an integral peephole that replaces the standard rear sight, but I don't know how well it works ... anyone?

The rear peep in the CASM works well for close & mid range targets.

The retro Bassett mount (there are two) has its fans.

I had the smith mount but got rid of it. I now have the ARMS 18, it sits the lowest but is very short. With low rings I had to remove the rear sight to get the scope mounted.

Oh, never go cheap.

Read up on the Sadlak's on their website, then call them and talk to them. Customer service 2nd to none.

I have the Bassett low picatinny. The high picatinny allows you to use the iron sights. As stated, you can remove and replace the mount with one bolt and be within one MOA of original zero.

I use the Basset LOW mount. After trying the others over 30 years its the one I stick with...... so simple, foolproof.... and it works!

Brookfield Precision is what the military used for quite some time. the company some how went out of business but the mounts were considered to be the very best. They attach to the receiver at three points thus making them very solid. They are very hard to find but are primo.

I have an ARMS on my Supermatch. It fiT great after Springfield Armory supplied me with an in-spec receiver.

I really like the casm mount, it is stronger than any other mount on the market in my opinion
