I am looking at adding a scope to my Poly M14S. I like the ARMS 18 mount because it sits low and is cheaper then most, and I am also cheap. Does this mount allow you to use the iron sights when it is mounted with a scope on it? If you remove it and then reinstall it at a later date will it still hold zero?

I agree with CSGW. I have one, but I never take it or the scope off. I holds zero fine. I had to return one and they sent me another within a week.

You can still use your iron sight. But, its really hard to focus on. Remember you have to use a torque wrench and locktite to install this mount. So, it is not a good idea to remove and install this mount.Comment

I don't have any trouble using the irons with the mount on. Here's mine with the rear sight bottomed out. I don't see the need to remove the mount.
