    Sightron Scopes Vs. Vortex

Anyone have any experiance with these scopes? I'm wanting to put it on a .308 bolt action. Specifically I'm looking for:

    Sightron S1 Hunter (Mil-Dot)
    Vortex Diamondback (Dead Hold)

    ... both 3-9 x 40mm most likely.

I'll be using it for hunting and punching paper.

Haven't owned a Sightron but you can't beat the Vortex for warranty.

      sightron

After reading all the reviews. I ended up buying a Sightron and was amazed withe quality.
Ended up with the 10x50-60 on my savage ba 110 shot 200 rds last weekend did what it was supposed to with excellent clarity all the way for 10 to 50 magnification. And the side focus is excellent the turrets are very positive for the click. The only thing lacking is the
      lense covers the are horrible.

I have a Vortex Crossfire II and the Diamondback is a step up from that. I also have the dead hold BDC on my 308.

I bought the Vortex because of their warranty. Sadly I had to test this warranty a few weeks ago. My gun got blown on the bench (the wind blew the shooting mat up) and landed directly on the bell. Scope was bent and fubar'd. Call Vortex, they said mail it to us and we'll take care of it. Sent in my scope the same day they got it they sent me a brand new one.

The warranty and customer service has made me a Vortex customer from here on out.

Wow. That is amazing. I have been considering Vortex, this might just seal the deal.

I own both brands. The Vortex Viper PST scopes and the Sightron SIII ones. Have to side with Vortex. You're paying about the same price but getting better glass and features with the Vortex. I don't know about their hunting scopes but yeah, can't beat the Vortex warranty.

Yeah I'm sold. If it ever happens again I wouldn't even call. They have a one page form on their website you fill out and send I'm with your optic. So that's all you have to do.

                Sightron vs Vortex

I like SIghtron over Vortex, because I have more Sightrons and only one Vortex Crossfire for my CZ. Sightron scope have life time warranty.
I brought my Sightron from here
