Help Please! ! I need extended rings to adjust scope forward about 0.75". Weaver, Hawke, and others manufacture extended rings that will do the trick. I need to know a dimension from bottom of tube to top of ring base to make sure my scope power ring clears it. I want as low a mount height as possible while still accomodating the power adjustment ring, which measures 1.375" dia. That means that I need a distance from bottom of tube (1") to top of base of at least 0.2".
If anyone has any brand of extended rings that they could measure I would appreciate the information, including the manufacturer and nominal height of the rings. I will need to get two extended of same.
I am mounting a Hi Lux 2-7, long eye relief to a Rossi lever R92 in 44 magnum. I know that is frowned upon by lever gun enthusiasts, but my eyes demand it. Using a weaver rail by Rossi, so these need to be weaver type rings.
I currently have Burris Z signatures, medium height, and those mount the optic at the right height, but the scope is too long behind the rear ring, and protrudes above the ejection port, thus a potential obstruction to ejected brass. (have not shot this configuration yet).
