    Scope suggestions for AR10

I'm jailbreaking an AR10 specifically Smith and Wesson MP10, this Friday any scope suggestions? Currently looking at Burris TAC30.

I'm holding out for the Primary Arms due out later this year. I can't recall now if it was a 16x or a 20x. I currently have their 1-6x ACSS mounted on a newly built .308 AR awaiting it's first range trip. Scope looks great so far but the true test will be out on the live fire range.

Other than that, I have Nikon scopes that are good glass for the money.

Probably depends on your intended use and how much distance you intend to use it for. Longer distance then go with more magnification but medium distances you can get by with less epensive scopes that have maybe 6x.

Dont plan to do much but shoot at ranges no longer than 200 yards.

well then just depends on your price range then but 4x - 6x should be fine for 200 unless you want more precision and being able to see your holes easily then maybe 10x power.

You might look at the vortex pst 2.5-10 the ffp is 32mm obj and the sfp is 44mm you will get real good glass and a great warranty and a good mag range for what you plan to do unless you want a 1x for the ease of not having to deal with eye relief. I want to pick up the primary arms 1-6 and try it because I've heard good things

I've become a big fan of Weaver's Tactical line... Very good product for price (beats comparably priced and higher Vortex and Bushnell)...

I have 3-15x50 (EDMR) on my M&P10... recently got their 2-10x36 (EDMR) that I will put on 20" AR15... and have a 1-5x24 (CIRT) on 16" carbine (will swap with Vortex PST on Benelli MR1 - I want the good one on the expensive gun )

To answer OP... we all have opinions - mine is Weaver Tactical 3-15x50 or 2-10x36 for your .308 (since you are looking at 200 yrds, I'd lean towards the latter... but if you expect to reach further - the 3-15x50 is arguably the best bang for buck scope out there!)

I went with Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50. 30 mm tube, first focal plane. Nice scope with a lot of features very reasonably priced.

SWFA SS 3 -15 X 42. I have the same intentions. Start out at 100 & 200 yds. And be good at that. Then move up further. But dang it.....308s are expensive and I don't do reloads.
