Does anyone know if the threading for sun shades are universal?

I just bought an 42mm SWFA scope and was told that their SWFA 42mm sun shades are backordered until March.

Is there another brand of sun shade that will fit SWFA scopes?

I have a sun shade for Bushnell 2.5-16x42 that I don't use... if you are ever in the north OC area we can see if it fits - if so, you can have it (I'd rather keep it if we don't know it fits - otherwise I'd just send it to you).

I was emailing back and forth with Wendy at SWFA and she didn't have any info on off-brand compatible sun shades. Looks like I'll have to take it to Parallax Tactical to hand fit a few.
