    Tight magnification adjustment

    Hello,

I searched the site for awhile and couldn't find a relevant post. I got a new scope for my bolt rifle and it seems like its a *major* pain to adjust the magnification on the scope. Seems like I need to use a wrench to do it, but I feel like I shouldn't have to. Is this normal for new scopes? Is there something I can do to loosen it or make it easier?

    Thanks,

    David

    What type of scope?

Is it quality or is it under $200

And even cheap scopes should be fairly easy to turn the magnification ring

Ok cool. I was just wondering if it was something obvious. Maybe the forward or rear reticle adjustments locking it up or something.

              Thanks.
