Vortex StrikeFire on 30/30 ? Anyone?

I have always shot my 30/30's with iron sights, had a model 94 and currently have a model 336

That being said, I have a Vortex StrikeFire that isn't mounted on anything. The thought occured to me that perhaps it would be a good optic for my 30/30

Have any of you mounted this optic on a 30/30? I'm planning on a 100yd zero and just looking for it to shoot "minute of deer" or "minute of wild pig"... Maybe the occasional "minute of coyote".

Thoughts, experiences??

I have a Strikefire on my AK and it works very well. Considering 7.62x39 and 30-30 are similar ballistics-wise I would think it would be a decent setup. If you were buying new, I'd say a sight with a smaller dot would be better for hunting precision, but you already have a strikefire, so I say go for it.
