FAKE Optics On Craigslist

For those of you near Stockton or Modesto and look on Craigslist for deals, beware of a guy selling EOtechs and ACOGs. They are FAKES!!! Several people have been burned by this guy, fortunately I'm not one of them. He uses pictures of real optics but sells you a fake. There have been several postings made by people on CL warning you to look out for this guy as they have been scammed by him. He changes his phone number each time, probably using disposable phones.

If you look at the photos, you can see the optic is in a different box in each one. There's a few other differences in the photos as well.

I know a guy in San Diego who bought an "EOTech" off GunBroker.
He still thinks he bought the real deal...but it's totally fake.

We don't have the heart to tell him...yet

Seems like the solution would be to pay for your optic FTF, assuming you know the difference between counterfeit and authentic ACOG's.

I wouldn't even buy stuff like that FTF. I would much rather get it from a retail shop like PA/Optic Planet or a reputable seller on Ebay.
