Scope Mounting - Where to go

Does anyone or any of the shops in OC do scope mounting at a reasonable cost (or loans work space/tools at a reasonable cost, etc.)

Looking to do a proper mounting job where everything is leveled/aligned with at least bubble levels, rings properly lapped, cant in scope is checked, etc. - Simply put, don't want to pay for someone to eyeball it when I can do that myself.

Otherwise, I guess it may be time for me to suck it up and get a mounting kit - I don't have a huge need for them now, esp. when I've been spending more $ lately, but I figure that since I will use them in the future, the money won't go to waste and it will probably be a lot cheaper than paying someone to do it after only 2 or 3 times. Any advice here?
I see the Wheeler kit (30mm + 1inch) selling in pretty decent volume online for roughly $90-100 + shipping and have seen a detailed review or two online - anyone have any experience with it? Complaints about it were the lapping bars are not hardened (i.e. they will shrink with use) and that the bubble levels that come with it aren't great, but I imagine I can always check cant by hanging some sewing thread with a weight or washers at the end if I can find an indoor area big enough to do so. Not sure what to do about the soft lapping bars though, although I imagine they won't shrink THAT much within say 5 or 10 uses?
Have also seen the Kokopelli stuff, but it seems a little more expensive.

In b4 "1 piece mount"... I don't think that will work for everything that I want to eventually own.

Also what is good for refinishing the inside of the rings after lapping? Hesitant to use paint b/c it'd probably just make everything uneven all over again.

Get the Wheeler kit. It works. Watch some Youtube videos and read about process and technique. DIY.

Brownells Oxpho-Blue or Birchwood Casey Perma Blue. I don't think the refinishing part matters much for aluminum...
