Simmons scope

I have a Simmons 3-9x40 scope on my AR-15 and it has been working just fine after about 500 rds. My question is, how will this scope hold up to the recoil of a PTR 91 A3S .308 RIFLE, I was thinking of mounting it on this rifle.

While it wouldn't be my first choice, it should hold up well to the recoil. Imho, other things, like eye relief, clarity, and sloppy adjustment will become an issue.

I'll probably just use it until it breaks then spend some money on a better scope.
