nikon p 223 scope mounts

I bought one of the nikon p223 scopes. It is the compact 3 x 32. It seems the recomendation is to buy this 2 piece mount: P 223 model

However I've read some opinions saying a 1 piece is the way to go but am unsure if it will fit. I was hoping to purchase this one: M 223 model

I use a Leupold 1 piece mount for my P223 scope. The mount you want will fit. It's for a 1" tube.

Does anyone know if using these P/M Series Mounts is the way to go with these scopes? Can someone recommend anything just as good with a cheaper price tag (UTG/Leapers?)

The Nikon has only one screw on each side of the scope ring. Most other rings have 3 on each side including the UTG above. Not sure how much this matters but 3 seems better than 1 in this case.

AmmoArnie, if you take a look at the opticplanets website, it shows the compact p223 scope mounted using the 2piece p series. Looks as though im going that route as I cant seem to find a definitive answer to my question. Im worried that the 1 piece mount wont work with an ar.

Most 1 piece mounts are too wide for the mount length on that 3x32 carbine scope. I would go with the two piece ring set. The Nikon 835 mount is a good way to go and have the ability to move forard or back as needed for ER.

I have the Nikon P-300 BLK and also use the 1" Leupold one piece mount. Works fine.

RifleGear and Turners have the mount for $99.

The Burris PEPR and Leupold AR IMS one piece mounts will not fit the Nikon p223 3x32 carbine scope due to the scope's compact size. I'm also pretty sure the Nikon AR one piece mounts won't fit either. Best bet would be the 2 piece mounts.

Nikon P-223 3X Carbine scope

I have been using the heck out of this scope for over 6 months with 1000's of rounds under it. It is one tough scope as you can tell from the below pic, mine get's used and abused with Texas's all year hog hunting.
I use Nikon's 2 piece P-Series AR mount. Easy to use and very flexible as to where you want to install your scope. Here's a pic of how mine looks on one of my AR's.
