Best hunting optics for Ar 15

Hi folks, I have an AR 15 in 223/556 that I want make a hunting gun. I'm looking to take game up to 300 yards. I have 3006 with a nikon bdc 3-9x40 that has worked for me. I was thinking of staying with a similar nikon and a 3-9 scope for consistency's sake, but I'm really looking for the best product at a low price.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Guys use it because of the 18" ranging. They range coyote from hip to shoulder. My buddy has shoot a few while moving holding on leads.

Take a look at the Nikon Prostaff 5's. Great scopes. They have a 2.5-10 and also a 3.5-14x. If youre looking to do some predator hunting or especially varmint hunting, that 3.5-14x is a nice setup:
