Doable still. Just push the XPS forward on the rail to make room for your fingers.

I would suggest trying to look through if not shoot rifles that have absolute and lower 1/3 before you make a decision. Doing that changed my opinion of what I wanted, and was more help than any picture or forum members opinion.

I run a magnifier with my 512 and dont have an issue. I turn it on, set it and forget it.

Side adjustments are nice but far from a deal maker or breaker to me.

PS, I ran a 512 on a Scar17 for a while, and according to the interwebs the scar eats optics.

          No issues either.

only issue I ever had with a 512 was my own fault as I left one in storage for a while with batteries in that blew up and corroded a bit of the terminal. Cleaned it up and has been working fine since.

FWIW, the XPS2-0 is by far the most popular unit we sell. As far as free magnifiers go, save your dough and opt for the real EOTech G33 when you can afford it.

Also, if you're planning on doing any shotgunning, be sure to check out our drop-in A65/00 Buckshot Reticle. Installs easily with just a screwdriver and a Class 100 clean room.

Thanks for your input, I ended up buying the xps2-0 mainly because its uses same battery in my pistol light. After the Eotech rebate my cost should be around $440 with the free magnifier and mount which is not a bad deal plus I figured and if don't like the magnifier and mount, I could always sell them for maybe $80-100 which will cut my cost down much more.

I have the 512, but I think I'd prefer the XPS, due to the easy access with a magnifier mounted (I also have/use a magnifier in conjunction with my 512). Also, the compactness also saves in weight, which I think is a plus. I don't mind the CR123 batteries, since all of my light use them anyways, so I always have those on hand already.
