    SCAR 17 Optic Question

I got an ACOG TA11E (3.5x w green Chevron) for my SCAR 17. Was thinking if I wanted to reach out further with more accuracy of being able to interchange w a scope. Right now have my eye on SWFA SS 3-15x FFP. I am a newb w scopes- but looking to get into more longer distance shooting- use would be for simple punching paper at the range. I've read enough reviews and feedback that seem like this is a solid scope and is mil/mil w FFP which are 2 feautures I want.
Also, I have a Remington 700 AAC that at some point I want to take a precision rifle class with and figured could use it on that rig in the future.

On SWFA website they have the Bobro Precision Optic QD mount that I would be using for the SCAR- but it comes in 2 models- extended and standard. Being the complete novice I am w scopes, which mount would be more appropriate for the SCAR 17? Bobro extended or standard?
    Thanks

It depends on how you shoot... if you position normal behind a stock like you would with a precision rifle... then you want a regular.

If you shoot with nose to charging handle... then you want the extended.
