Sights for a modified Ruger 10-22

I recently bought a Ruger 10-22 that's had some modifications done. It has a Green Mountain barrel, and an NDS sight set. NDS-26 Rear Sight
    NDS-23 Front Sight
    , scroll down.

It came with a scope and some REALLY tall rings, and I got, at best, a chin weld. OK, I figured out what the short rings and short rail are for, and why I shouldn't use the long screws to put on the short rail.

Anyways, my biggest issue now is that the current sight setup is both REALLY annoying to adjust, and is also still a tad too high, giving me what I can best call a jaw weld. Not comfy at all, not with TMJ making things even more interesting.

What I want to find is a better sight set that can fit on the current barrel, and is much lower than what I have. I want my CHEEKbone on the stock, not my jawbone.

What are some favorites? I'd prefer something a bit easier to adjust, because eventually I'll be shooting this outside, at 100 yards or further, and don't want to take for-ev-er adjusting for our beloved variable afternoon winds.

    Just for fun:

That barrel profile really limits your choices. Have you considered a scope?

      Bummer.

I have a scope, but as part of my learning plan (of sorts), I'm to hide the scope for now.

        You have choices
Optics in the factory tapped holes
        Optics on the current rail
        (Remove the front sight)

Or you can get an adjustable cheek rest
Or you can cut your stock and use bolts to make an adjustable cheek rest from your existing stock.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Let me give the barrel manufacturer a jingle, and see if they know of anything that fits.

Good folks, what are your thoughts on this set? It comes with a .92" barrel adapter, that supposedly is Loctited on. Anyways, the sights here are MUCH lower. Is it worth a shot?

I like that endorsement. I'll start saving up. I especially like that they provide a TOOL to adjust the sights. That'll make it easier when I move to outside shooting.
