    Knights Armament Rail Cover

I understand that Knights Armament's KAS M4 RAS is banned in CA. But is Knights Armament's rail cover also banned?

Since when was it banned? I'm pretty sure that KA isn't banned, they are just part of the "group" that won't sell accessories/parts to Cali.

Banned? Why would a fore-end rail be banned? Wait...I'm thinking logically, this is California...why would any law make sense here?

The RAS is listed specifically by name in the AWB, even though it's the name of KAC's quad rail. That shows how stupid California politicians are. Because of that, KAC decided not to ship any guns or parts to California. There are some dealers though in Cali that stock KAC parts.

RAS is perfectly legal to own.
The banned by name list only applies to rifles which a ras is not.

If KAC were to make a rifle named RAS then that would be illegal.

btw, only reason to get a RAS if you are going for a authentic mil look. It is an old design and you can get much better for less.

and before anybody gets butt hurt, yes I own and have for quite a while

I picked up a couple packages of the rail panels and forward grips on the cheap. They were used but in great shape. I run the panels on both my ARs.
