    Trijicon TR23 for 16" AR?

I'm thinking of trying out a new optic for my 16" AR. I only target/bench shoot at paper and steel from 50-600 yards. I already have an ACOG and T-1 for training classes so this is strictly for fun, long range shooting. Since weight won't be an issue, will the Trijicon TR23 be a good choice? I always like to have a little more magnification.

for accurate long range shooting, i'd suggest a scope with a better reticle.

dont get me wrong, i have a tr-24 (red triangle) on my 16" ar, but its not a sniper rifle. LOVE the quick acquisition with the trijicon, but my needs are for minute-of-man accuracy, and it successfully fits this bill. hitting steel from 50-300 yds quickly? no problem.

if you're looking for more precision though, the tr-23/tr-24 may not be sufficient. hopefully some experienced 3-gunners will chime in on their favorite pieces of glass...
