    Bore sighting a 17hmr?

I bought a savage 93 17hmr a while back and had a cheap scope put on it at the LGS where I bought it. Now I'm ready to upgrade the scope and was wondering if you can bore sight the scope by eye like I've done with a larger caliber rifle or do I need a laser bore sight to this. The 17hmr barrel is so small I'm just not sure you can do this by eye.

I did my CZ that way, by taking the bolt out and looking through the barrel. I don't know if I got lucky or the smaller bore helps but I was shooting squirrels the next day with no adjustments. Got it dialed in later.

Yep I did to all my bolt rimfires (4) works great. Just make sure the rifle doesn't move while adjusting.

Yup, that's the way to do it.
