Had to post my experience with eotech customer service.
I traded for a well used eotech 522 on here about a month ago. The sight was made in 2007 and was well used as he described. When i got to the range last sunday pulled the rifle out and the sight wouldnt turn on. I thought great. Changed the batteries, still nothing. So i just shot the iron sights that day. I got home pulled the battery cover off, pushed on the contacts some and put the cover back on. Then the sight worked. I did some googling and found out the contacts go bad on these. I called eotech on monday. I told the i wasnt the original owner, i had got it on trade. Told them the year it was made, it was well used and the symtoms. I asked if it could be the contacts and if so could i buy a kit to replace them (i had no expectations for the to send me repair kit free as sight was well past warrenty, well used and i wasnt the original owner). The CS person said the contacts sounded like the problem. He took my name and address and said he would ship them right out no charge. He even appologised for it not working on my range trip. I recieved
The new contacts today and put them in and everything seems to be good. You can definatally feel the difference when putting the battery cover on. I really liked my eotechs before and this was my first dealing with customer service. I was very impressed. So again, +1 for eotech
