I am currently setting up an AR 15 for a medium range optic and wanted to concurrently run iron sights at a 45 degree angle.
Initially, I was considering buying 45 degree rail attachments and then getting a set of Troy or Midwest Industry back up irons.
Then I saw the Diamondhead D-45 (https://www.rainierarms.com/?page=sh...roduct_id=3722), which seems like it would weigh less overall compared to getting 45 degree rails separately and mounting the irons on there. My only concern is with the durability factor, since the D-45s look like they have a lot of moving parts. Also, I don't necessarily want a spring-loaded design.
In addition, I don't like the traditional front sight post, and was considering getting either the KNS duplex crosshair front sight (https://www.rainierarms.com/?page=sh...roduct_id=3899) or the Blitzkrieg chevron front sight post (https://www.rainierarms.com/?page=sh...roduct_id=3970). Does anyone here have experience with these.
Any input would be much appreciated.
