PSA Aluminum Flip Up Sight Set

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the PSA Flip up sights. PSA is selling the Vortex StrikeFire and PSA Aluminum Flip Up Sight Set for $199 and they are offering free shipping through Sunday. If the Iron Sights are any good this seems like a good deal.

I got the combo set! Over all they are pretty robust and sturdy! Not as slim as troys but for the price they are built very well for being all metal!

they are relatively new... as such, I don't think you will find too many reviews yet.

FWIW, I was intrigued when I first saw them - and even though I was tempted to pick up a set, I really don't need them.

All my ARs have Troy - reason being; they are the only that will clear any scope I've used. I've tried other brands and due to the low profile of Troy, they are the only ones I will consider.

Having that been said... if you don't use a scope, and use irons only, or red dot with BUIS, I think it's worth giving the PSA a shot... they might clear some scope set-ups, but I've stopped trying other brands since I always end up buying another set of Troy.

a profile shot with rear flipped down (and your Strikefire mounted) - will give a real good perspective of clearance.

oh... but was hoping for a profile pic so we can see the height...

no biggie for me... as I mentioned, I'm set on Troy... but it would help a lot of people looking to consider these sights.

I think LB wants to see a side profile picture of how the sights sit in relation to the vortex. I would suggest showing the heights flipped and retracted with a tape measure.

I think "profile" was throwing him off...

tape measure won't be necessary as long as the Vortex is mounted - you can get a good idea based on mount height.

I bought a set. I need a set of flip up's for my gun and they look robust. I will post up a picture whenever they come in.

I have been running 2 sets of these

They are nice quality dual rear AP sights. Only con is that they do not lock when up. The mechanism is strong enough to keep them in position so no worries for me.

while at the gun store yesterday i noticed that all the sig rifles come with these sights installed , so i guess i know whos making them now. deff not psa !
